Spreading Crunchy Peanut Butter

When you are making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with crunchy peanut butter, it usually tears up the bread. I've found that putting the peanut butter on a plate (the amount that you plan to use), and putting it into the microwave for about a minute, softens it up enough that you can spread it onto the bread without having to tear up the bread and making a gigantic mess.

Another method is to store your bread in the freezer. This makes it last longer, and frozen bread is easier to spread crunchy peanut butter on. If you are making sandwiches in the morning to have for lunch, there is no danger that the bread won't be thawed by lunchtime.

I would warm up the peanut butter in the microwave a bit or lay down butter first then but the peanut butter on top.
