Libby's Barbecue Rib Rub

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 190 Posts
My sister-in-law made ribs at a family outing for her mom's birthday. They were delicious and she graciously shared her recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 3 racks of ribs
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. dry sweet basil
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:

  1. Mix all of the dry ingredients together.
  2. Generously coat the ribs.
  3. Wrap the ribs tightly in foil.
  4. Bake 3 1/2 hours at 250 degrees F.
  5. Remove from foil and coat with your favorite barbecue sauce and broil to caramelize the sauce.

Enjoy.

Servings: varies, 4-6
Prep Time: 5 - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 3 1/2 Hours
