Homemade Chili with Variations

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 205 Posts

I make a huge batch of chili with no beans. I split the batch in half and add beans to one half, leaving the other half with no beans in it (don't add beans until after the chili is made). Everyone has their own favorite chili recipe, so I won't give mine. Either serve it as is, or use the variations I have listed:

  • shredded cheddar cheese

  • a dollop of sour cream

  • anything else you like on your chili, such as crumbled nachos or Doritos

  • served over nacho chips with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and refried beans for a Taco Salad. Can also add cooked rice mixed in with the chili.

  • served with cut up hot dogs mixed in

  • served over cooked noodles

  • served over cooked rice

A perfect accompaniment to either one is a nice grilled cheese sandwich.
