Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. instant expresso coffee powder
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. shortening

Directions

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Set aside. In small bowl stir together powdered sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and expresso powder. Set aside. In medium bowl beat egg whites with electric mixer on high until foamy. Gradually add sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Gradually add in cocoa mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Bake at 250 degrees F for 1 hour. Cool on cookie sheet. Remove wax paper. In small saucepan combine chocolate chips and shortening over low heat until melted. Stirring often. Drizzle over cookies
