I need to update my white ceramic counter tops. What can I do short of replacing them?

Are you good at painting? You could search online for durable paint and sealers that would be appropriate for a kitchen counter, and paint some of or all of them, of just paint a few with a nice design or pattern.
I have seen the decals that can be applied to the tiles, but if you can paint, that would save some money.
You could try maybe just regrouting with a different grout color too.
