If you are making plain pillowcases, start with 1 1/2 yard of fabric, fold in half, sew 2 sides together and hem bottom. Can decorate with lace, ribbon, applique or whatever.
Try SewMamaSew.com there's one just been posted this week...it's a tutorial I think. They have new stuff all the time.
Remove the seams from an old pillowcase and use that for a pattern.
