Bacon Bites - Dog Treats

Is Fido your best friend? Here's a recipe that will make him happy this holiday season.

• 3 cups whole wheat flour
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup bacon fat (or vegetable oil)
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 3 to 4 slices bacon, crumbled up
• 1/2 cup cold water

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Mix ingredients together thoroughly. Roll out on a floured surface to 1/2 to 1/4 inch thickness. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in a 325 degree oven.

Editor's Note: Feeding dogs and cats garlic is very controversial. Please check with your vet before including in this recipe, or simply make without the garlic powder.
