Plastic Lids for Moving Furniture

Keep all of your plastic lids. They are very handy to place under furniture when moving it around. They are slick so furniture will glide easily even on carpet, and they will protect your wood or vinyl floors.

I prefer to use a towel or blanket to slide furniture across a nice floor that I want to protect. I've used plastic covers like you suggest, but if there are any particles such as dirt, grains of sand, or similar under the lids, they can scratch the floor as you slide the furniture because they are trapped underneath from the weight of the furniture and grind into the floor.

That's a great idea! Wish you would've posted this sooner. My mom just spent $10 on furniture slide pads and they were junk.
