Gooey Buns Recipe?

I am looking for a childhood recipe called Gooey Buns. They were made with cubes of ham, cheese and I can't remember what else, but i loved them! It is a late 50's early 60's recipe.

Put them together and bake in the oven for @ 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees or untill the bun is browned. The out side will be crispy and the inside will be soft and the cheese melted. Add sides as wanted, like baked beans, Mac and cheese, chip/dip.

Hi Kat! I just found this website, and your question about gooey buns from a couple years ago. Did any of those sound familiar? Are you my long lost sister? Haha. Gooey buns were my family's tradition for Christmas Eve. We would go to church, come home, and Santa had come while we were away. Then after all the fun of opening gifts, we would eat the gooey buns until we were stuffed! Let me know if you would like my mom's version. Carolyn
