To clean my garbage disposal, I slice one lemon in half and toss them into the disposal along with 4 or 5 ice cubes. I turn on the disposal and the cold water. Voila, the disposal is cleaned and freshened all at the same time.

Please do not put lemons in the disposal. I dont care how good your blades are. They will clogs your pipes and take forever to break down. I'm a plumber and literally about 90% of my disposal calls are because of lemon rinds or potato skins.
That is interesting, thank you for your comment. I have seen the lemon and ice trick suggested all over the place.
