Throw two lemon wedges and a cup of ice in the disposal. Turn on the cold water and turn on the disposal. The lemon will help with the bad odors and the ice helps to get those blades sharp!

Great, I have been trying to find a solution to this problem for a long time. I have tried bleach and pinesol without success. Someone told me to try ammonia. I can't wait to try your solution it seems to be more environment friendly.
