When gardening, to remove big dandelion plants, use flat head screwdriver to dig down to break roots deep in dirt to ensure no re-growth.

I pull weeds soon after I water the area, or just as soon as I can after a rain....you don't pull out so much dirt as well as the other plants near them....

In a border, or where you don't want weeds or grass to grow: cut them back with scissors, weed whacker, or mower depending on amount and douse with white vinegar! They will be dead within 2 days, especially if the sun hits them. I use this in my dog pen to rid it of weeds and it isn't harmful to them or youngsters.
