Homemade Ketchup

It's quick and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • Advertisement

  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt.

Directions:

Combine ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Cover pan with lid until cool. Put in empty ketchup bottle and put in fridge.

Servings: makes full bottle
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Sounds like something I will try. Because of dietary restrictions, I am assuming it will be okay to use onion powder and a no-salt product.
