Washing Soda for Cleaning Sponges
Washing soda is best for cleaning sponges and cleaning cloths. It will remove soap, dirt, or anything else remaining within. Things caught in the sponge will cause odors as well as give germs a place to fester. I even clean my micro cloths this way. It is safe enough to clean Enjo mops and cloths.
Spices as an Alternative to Mothballs
When most of our belongings went into storage for 12 months, I used peppercorns and cloves in all clothing containers and bay leaves in all my book boxes. Never had a problem and everything smelt nice when I unpacked.

White Vinegar for Deodorizing
Best and cheapest deodorizer is white vinegar. It also kills germs. This is all we use in our house. It doesn't mask odors, it removes them.
In 44 years of being a wife and mother I can honestly say I have never lost socks in the wash. I taught husband and kids to fold socks together when they took them off. I only put pairs in the machine and always at the bottom of the machine.
Use Clips To Keep Food Fresh
I use these clips for closing bags of anything from herbs and spices to frozen veggies. They are easy to use and never come undone.

Remove Keys For Cleaning
When my keyboard need cleaning, I made a sketch of where each key belonged, and then gently lifted each key off using a wooden kabob stick. It was then easy to clean. I just clipped the keys back on, cleaning each one as I went.
Natural Weed Killer
To get rid of dandelions, spray straight vinegar into the center of each plant and in about two weeks they will all be dead and gone. Any that haven't disappeared will be dead and can be dug/pulled out.
