I received a few old bowling balls from a friend and wanted to make something cute. Paint did not last. I decided that tile would be a lot sturdier and hold up to the elements. I love watching kids walking down the street and getting excited to see the Very Hungry Caterpillar and his friend the ladybug.

Hot Red Mexican Bird of Paradise TreeMy first time to ever see such a beautiful bloom on a plant. I got home and read the label and it says, no water preferably full sun, tree gets 10 foot wide by maybe up to 15 foot tall! I said you're kidding, I've already planted it into my yard, but only six inches away from my fence OMG what to do?

Repurposed Garden SeatingWe hate to see unwanted stuff going onto landfill, and why buy expensive seating when you can repurpose? This seat was made from three old iron garden chairs that have lost their seats. We laid a piece of a concrete fence across them that a neighbour was getting rid of, to make a bench.

Knockout RosesI wasn't sure when would be a good time to trim my rose buses, but went ahead and trimmed them anyway this spring. After checking on the internet, I discovered it was actually the best time to do so.
