Greetings! Like many others, we are planning a large wedding on a pretty small budget! The reception will be in a very large room and we would like it to look like an Italian outdoor patio at night. There are three lines of neon lights overhead that we would like to disguise and we would like to make the walls interesting. Any thoughts? Your help is much appreciated!
To look authentic, use strings of lights with big round bulbs. This will provide enough light without having to use those fluorescent lights! Also, you could use a few paper lanterns available at the import stores.

Lattice with pretty netting woven through the slats and tiny white Christmas lights strung through it. Checkered tablecloths on the tables with candles on them and empty wine bottles filled with the tiny lights too, might look nice.
