My son made a coffee can snowman one year at school. They took batting for making quilts to cover the can. It appears that they just rolled it out and cut a strip as tall as the can and long enough to wrap around the sides and glued it to the can. They then used markers and glued on felt to make the face. For the top of the can they stretched a knit stocking cap over the top. It looks really cute.

You can do the above or you can paint the can white and glue on foam eyes, nose mouth ect. Put some ear muffs on him and a scarf. You can also go to:

www.google.com and click on IMAGE then type in 'paint can snowman' it comes up with a few. Good luck.
