The place to buy wedding gown fabric in Houston is High Fashion Fabrics downtown at Smith and Elgin. Their selection is outstanding and the prices are all ranges.
A great place to look would be your local Goodwill. I know it sounds crazy but often people purchase dresses and don't even wear them, so they are brand new. You can also find a plain one and add personal touches like rhinestones or extra layers of fabric.
Drew, Ebay has some wonderful dress patterns and fabrics...also wedding dresses if you find one you like. any fabric stores have patterns...you can check online for the pattern you want before going to the stores...maybe hit one of the sales. simplicity.com is one I know of. good luck!
