I know it's summertime, but you can pick up a few presents for
Christmas this year or start your special project or craft for
gifts. You could have a nice homemade recipe book made from your favorite recipes by Christmas, hand written in a colorful journal.

Christmas in the Summer! Who would not enjoy such a treasured
gift to pass on to their children. If you start now you will be ready!

Last year (after Christmas), I picked up plastic candy forms in Christmas shapes (only 10 cents each!) and clear glass Christmas ornaments and paints. I plan on making scented soaps for the women and chocolates for the men in my family from the candy forms (friends too!), Each family will get an ornament as well.

I usually start after Christmas for the following year, but it seems everyone else is doing that more now! I have noticed that many stores put stuff on clearance in July, so I usually pick up a few toys for my kids and children in my family.

Oh, I also have a short easy recipe:
you can come up with your own name, I just call it yum!

You need a cake pan (9x13)
Angel Food cake
French vanilla ice cream
Caramel Syrup

Rip the angel food cake into med. size pieces and place in cake pan.
Scoop vanilla ice cream in between and on top of cake (usually takes not a whole half gallon of ice cream)
Squirt caramel topping on top of both ice cream and cake, then you freeze it until getting ready to serve. I usually set it out about 10 minutes before eating to soften the ice cream, once it starts melting, it gets even more delicious!
