Lodging for Friends and Family |

I am starting to plan lodging for numerous family members. Some have money and probably will purchase their own hotel rooms, some don't have much money and I will need to help them out somehow. It's going to take a lot organize. Does anyone have any advice or strategies for dealing with this? It's a little overwhelming. Almost everyone is coming in from out of town.
Thanks, Lacey

Send camping info and prices along with hotel rates. Also see if you can borrow any tents from friends and other camping equipment. That should help out the short of $ relatives.

Another thing you might try is calling around to hotels and try to get a discount rate for just this type of situation. Generally you just need to make a list of everyone coming to the wedding, call them and find out what their needs are. People will probably fall into one of three categories...
People who will arrange their own lodging
People who need you to find them cheap lodging
People who can't afford lodging at all
Then find a solution for the latter two. Find friends to put up people who can't afford a hotel and arrange a lower rate for everyone else with a hotel.

You might ask some of your good friends if they could help out.
