Craft: Origami Pin CushionHere is a very simple pin cushion. Use the lidded box origami fold instructions and make at least one or the other, top or bottom of the box.. Use a felt scrap to fit down into the box, rolled and snuggly tucked in.

Granny Square Wheelchair LapghanI've made it a habit of taking digital photos of all my completed projects during the year. Starting in Jan. - Dec. 2009, I crocheted 3 afghans and 5 wheelchair lapghans for veterans at our local V.A. Hospital.

I have a full size van and on occasion when hauling groceries if I don't tie the bags closed the contents end up rolling up into the van on a quick stop or falling out when I open the door after driving up a hill.

lacing puzzle
Recycled Lacing PuzzleCut a large shape out of a laundry bottle. Next cut an identical smaller shape. Punch holes along border of both shapes. Cut the smaller shape into 3-4 pieces to create puzzle. Provide string with knot on end. Show a child how to line up the puzzle shapes to lace.

People playing in the snow.
Scenery: Playing in the SnowThere isn't much snow on the ground, but the home park we live in doesn't have too many places for kids to play. As you can see, there is a small hill behind our house and after a snowfall, it attracts many children.

Pedestal plate.
Year of Birth PlateThis year, for my sister's birthday, I decided to give her something unique. I purchased a 1962 calendar plate (the year she was born) off of eBay. I then found a candle holder at my local thrift store that was perfect for a stand.
