RE: Other Uses for Pot Holder Loom
Hi. I just saw this tutorial on youtube. It is awesome. She shows step by step how to use a potholder loom to make squares for use as a potholder or you can sew or crochet them together to make throws, placemats, etc... Hope this helps.

I am going to be really cheap and try to make a square loom out of a square frame from the dollar tree or a square piece of wood and some nails. I already have some crochet hooks and yarn. I might see if I have some of those colored tacks that could be pushed into the wood; might even be easier than the nails. I'm just tired of spending money, and need to save money and pay bills! ... RE: Cardboard Pom Pom Cats
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I bought one of these years ago while in Kmart from an elderly lady who made them for five dollars. It was a white one with pink ears. I have some yarn and fleece that I was'nt sure what to do with, and this would be a great project to use if for! I think my nieces would like one; along with some of my friends. Thanks so much! ... RE: Homemade Children's Toy Boxes
Great idea! I was even thinking of doing this with a large sturdy cardboard box or even a bought storage box. The ones they sell for file storage etc. even come with a lid and are fairly sturdy just for storage. I think they'd be cute covered in fabric, and I wanted to use them for storage of sewing supplies, fabric, hobby supplies, throws, etc... I also get the scoopable kitty litter in a large box and figured with some packing tape I could make the lid more secure and cover the box and lid with fabric; would make a pretty box for sewing storage; just have to be sure to use a fabric that covers the print on the box without it showing through. ... RE: Make Your Own Clorox Ready Mop Pads
I use the recipe from this site to make a Green and safe refill for my Clorox ReadyMop. The vinegar makes the cleaner not streak on laminate flooring, and gives it a little shine; plus it is safe for people and pets, and it is also a great window cleaner.

With a previous poster stating that the Clorox Readymop solution killed her cat and sickened another, I am glad that I have been using an alternative. Thank you for letting us know about that! ... View related article.

RE: What can I do with old magazines?
I usually leave them at a laundramat. The people there are sometimes bored while waiting on their laundry to finish washing and drying, and they can take them home with them. They are always gone in no time. ... View related article.
