How do I take lettering off a pair of sweat pants? The lettering is white and it looks like it's glue. I tried taking it of by scratching it with a safety pin, but it doesn't work?

I have been unable to find a trustworthy dry cleaner so far and need to restore several of their failures. Currently the suits look like a dish rag with no body and no way to hold a crease when pressed, some people refer to it as sizing if that helps.
