Juno (English Springer Spaniel)

Juno is a 17 month old English Springer Spaniel. We purchased Juno in January, 2011. Juno enjoys puddle splashing for fun! She loves to dive in any water that's in sight. She also enjoys posing for photos (pretending to be a furniture catalogue model) as you can see. She's absolutely adorable, I'm sure you would agree!

Burt (Basset Hound)
Burt is a 9 year old Basset Hound. Burt was adopted after his previous owner left him in a sweltering car with windows up while she was getting a tattoo. She was alerted several times and laughed it off. When the police arrived Burt had to be revived after falling unconscious. Happy ending though. Tattoo gal arrested and Burt is in a new loving home!

Nickels (Hound)
Nickels is an 8 month old hound. We picked Nickles from a farm where the man breeds hunting dogs. We recently lost our other dog, Trump, to cancer so we decided to get another one right away. I know you can't replace an animal, but it has helped the kid's cope with the loss.

Nickels is very playful, he loves to run around and chase the kids. They play ball and tug of war. Nickels does not like to be alone yet, and wants to be outside with the kids all the time.

We're working on training him. He can sit and shake a paw. He is almost housebroken, but he is improving. We are working on stay, and come. He likes to jump the fence and visit the neighbor's dogs if he gets loose. Nickels is a handful, but he is getting better everyday. I have to keep reminding myself he is still a puppy even though he has such long legs!

There are two dogs that walk by everyday with their owner and my husband calls Nickels and tells him his friends are coming. He jumps up in the windows every time and knocks everything over, and leaves his nose prints all over!

Bella (Yorkie)
Bella is 5 years old and a Yorkie. My daughter gave me Bella almost a year ago. She was moving and her new place didn't allow pets. She was 4 years old when she came to live with me.

It's taken a little while for us to get used to each other, but now she is my lil' shadow. She follows me if I go into the kitchen, bedroom and the bathroom. If I don't get up as early as she wants me to, she yips quietly at first. If that doesn't get me up, she gradually gets louder until I get up!

I call her Baby Bella and she is just so much fun, I love her! Bella likes to go out on the deck with me. She barks at everything that moves, from the cows to the birds!

Ellie Mae (Yorkshire Terrier/Toy Poodle mix)
Ellie Mae is a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier/Toy Poodle mix. We drove 5 hours to get Ellie Mae when she was 7 weeks old. Her favorite game is chasing a ball or a stuffed toy. She also loves being at our cottage and chasing the squirrels. When we were building our cottage, we took Ellie Mae with us. Once when I couldn't find her in the cottage, I worried that someone had let her outside. After looking all over the cottage, this is where I found her, with her head peeking out, all tucked snuggled safely inside my duffel bag where I kept extra clothes. She'd climbed inside and taken advantage of a soft place to rest. After that, my duffel bag became her favorite resting spot.
