This was my son after he caught his first big trout! He had gotten small ones before. It was so fun watching him reel this in. He was laughing and nervous, asked Dad to help. Dad said he had confidence that he could do it and he did!

Massive Polyphemus Moth (Bay Area, CA)
My father was outside gardening when we heard him calling for us to see a huge butterfly. It was not a butterfly, but a really beautiful and humongous silk moth. It had a wingspan of about six inches, beautiful blue eyespots and a chubby belly. I think it's quite cute!

Flower Bed (Nova Scotia)
I saw this when out for a drive in the country. A lady had created this "flower bed". I just had to snap a picture. She has an "open" garden for passersby to wander through and enjoy.

New to the Garden (Alstroemeria and Lily)
The first flower bloomed this week. A lily that DD gave me. The second is the newest Alstroemeria called "Navajo Princess".

Orchid Lady
A few weeks ago when I was at yoga, I noticed the most beautiful orchid on the windowsill. After class, I asked the instructor if she would mind if I took some photos of it with my iPhone. I took a few of the entire plant and then some close ups. When I zoomed in, I was surprised to discover this little lady staring right back at me!

Scenery in Montana
On a recent trip through the state of Montana we were thrilled to see such vivid colors and such beautiful scenery! We pulled over for me to take this shot of the mountains, clear sky, and beautiful river. It was a wonderful day to fish, as you can tell by the boat on the river!

Sunset at Sadler's Creek State Park (Anderson, SC)
We recently visited Sadler's Creek State Park for a camping trip. It was so hot that we believed we had found Hades itself, if it weren't for the lovely views we could always find out our window! The sunsets at our campsite were superb, and we enjoyed watching them every evening.

In the second photo, a Great Blue Heron was standing fishing on the "red" point across from our campsite. We also loved watching it come and fish every morning. Not sure if you can see the heron in this photo, but it is there. Again, lovely view from the camper!

Sunrise on Gunn Lake (Minaki, Ontario)
I was up early and saw this beautiful sunrise on the lake. So peaceful. The next picture is later in the morning.

Our cabin was on the main water way to the lake and had lots of boat traffic. Nice to sit and watch the world go by.

Sunset (Hinkley Lake, OH)
My mother, myself and my son spent the day swimming at Hinkley Lake. On our way home, we stopped at the fishing and boating area to look at some people in a canoe. The sun was shining through the trees as it set and was so pretty, I had to take a picture.

Asiatic Dayflowers
These grow wild in my yard, they are so beautiful and they close up somewhat in the day and then open up at night. They last longer than a day when in water and grow very long!
