Ice Cream Cone Costume

Supplies:

• 1 red apron
• 1 red bow tie
• 1 paper hat
• 1 white shirt
• large piece of brown felt
• felt scraps
• glue
• thread
• needle
• scissors
• tan pants

Steps:

1. For the ice cream man costume, the person would wear dark pants, an apron (or in this case a vest), a white shirt, and a bowtie. I made a hat out of cardstock and printed the name of the ice cream shop on the side.

 
2. For the ice cream cone costume, I made a pattern out of paper for the chocolate sauce and cut it out of a large piece of brown felt. Next, using colorful felt scraps, I cut out several sprinkles. I glued them randomly over the sauce.

3. Last, I hand basted the sauce and sprinkles piece to the white shirt so that they could be easily removed and the shirt used for future purposes. The finishing touch is the tan pants which is the bottom of the ice cream done.
