We have gorgeous sunsets here. This one was taken out our front door. This one was so vivid pink I just had to capture it. The silhouetted trees add to the beauty.

Garden: Fall MumsMy Grandson sold mums to raise money for his school and mine are now blooming. They sure do help the garden with a last spot of color, just when all the rest of my plants are going to seed.

Halloween Pet Costume: Minnie MouseThis costume was made by reusing several things we had on hand. The skirt was from a Poodle Skirt Girl Costume. We cut the top attached shirt and vest off and used just the skirt. The t-shirt was one we already had at the house.

Scenery: Sunset over PromontoryI happened to look out my window one evening and thought that the back half of our hillside was on fire. My hubby and I went out to investigate and were relieved to see that it wasn't a fire but a glorious sunset instead!

Turkeys for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving TurkeysHere are two of the turkeys I raised for Thanksgiving. I have recently had them butchered at Tabor Homestead in Berwok, ME. They were all over 20 pounds and the big tom turkey I kept for myself was 31 3/4 pounds!

Searching for the Perfect Pumpkin
Searching for the Perfect PumpkinI took my children to the pumpkin patch this weekend so they could hunt for their perfect pumpkin. Snapping pictures, avoiding mud puddles, all while still trying to find my own perfect pumpkin was quite the task. But, it all worked out in the end!

Scenery: Oregon Coast At SunsetMy friend and I went camping during the summer near the Oregon coast. We went to the beach just before sunset and we were both taking photos. Later, just as the sun was almost over I moved back trying to get just the sunset but my friend unknowingly was in the way.

Warm Halloween CostumesAs a child, I lived in rural Illinois. October there is cold. Sometimes it snows! The flimsy store-bought costumes leave everyone shivering. A warm costume is worth the effort.

Wildlife: Luna Moth CaterpillarI saw this is the garden this morning and had to go look it up to see what it was. It was so neat looking in the close up, I had to share. I came in the house for a little while and he was on his way.
