This is a view of the north east coast of Scotland after one of our recent snow storms, it was taken from my brother and sister in law's garden. They are fortunate to have spectacular views of the North Sea from their windows.

Christmas Cactus In BloomMy Christmas cactus bloomed just in time for the holiday this morning. You can see another blossom ready to open, maybe I'll see it on Christmas morning. It is one of my favorite plants because even in the coldest days of winter I can still see the beauty of a flower.

Scenery: Wyandotte, OklahomaWhile visiting Wyandotte, Oklahoma, a small Native American reservation on the border of Arkansas and Oklahoma, we stopped at a pow wow. The scenery in the area was beautiful.

Christmas Window DecorationsI finally put up the kitchen curtains, after being in my new house for 9 months. Better late than never, and with Christmas right around the corner, it really gave me some motivation. Not to mention my family will be here in 3 days.

HawkThis was a hawk I saw when I was on Big Sur in CA. I often spent my days off driving around there, it was so beautiful. It is so wonderful to see birds of prey in the wild. I live on the east coast, and you do not see them often.

Sprouted Bird Seed
Photo: Sprouted Bird SeedMuch to my surprise, I thought this was a feather. I found a seed, that had germinated inside the parakeet's water dish. I never saw that before in all the years we've had birds. I thought it was worth sharing. LOL!

Scenery: Cloudy SkyThis picture was taken a few weeks ago, we had walked outside because it was orange looking and it was the strangest thing. When we walked outside you could have heard a pin drop, no animals moving or making any noise. complete silence!

Wildlife: Feeding the SquirrelsMy husband built this platform for the bird food I put out for the many birds that come to feed. But here lately I have had two squirrels come and clean it out before the birds get to it.

Thanks for the Memories!While going through and sorting our Christmas decorations, I came across the stockings and the little Santa Cap that I had for my Basset Hounds from many years ago.
