Living on a fixed income can be a challenge. I have a red folder with a spiral notebook inside which I record my weekly transactions on my checking account, including debits, bank drafts or any any monies withdrawn from my checking account, which I receive from calling a bank representative.

Protector Sheets for Your To-Do ListsI live for my lists. I can't do much without them. So I am always shifting my lap desk and losing them on the floor.

Writing Pen Organizer
Writing Pen OrganizerI keep all sorts of scraps from previous projects I have done. I turned this crocheted rectangle into a pen organizer. I fastened three large safety pins in a row and then hung writing pens on the safety pins. I tied a ribbon onto one end, rolled it up and tied it.

Find Scissors When SewingI keep a little braided piece of yarn on my scissors. It helps me find the scissors more easily. When I am sewing quilts or blankets, I attach a brightly colored clip to the braided string. My scissors never get lost now when I am sewing a big project!

Spices for cooking.
Carousel for Organizing SpicesI purchased these carousels that are actually sold in the infant department to be used for baby food jars. I just removed the second shelf and my jars of spices fit just perfect. Each one holds 10 jars.

A empty tissue box being reused to store plastic bags.
Store Plastic Bags in Tissue BoxI simply store my used plastic bags in an empty tissue box. Pretty and easy to retrieve! I use a smaller square tissue box under my bathroom sink to store spare bags to line my bathroom garage can.
