I have already contacted the store but they were unable to help as the toy is too old, but what makes you say that it was probably made in japan?

Ive always read it as Fooly, and even when I compare the first letter to snoopy, it just doesnt seem to match so I think this toy may not be affiliated with any cartoons, or I may just be wrong as well.
