Thanks for such a speedy reply! I dont think it is as dont they have a central trumpet or spike? Whereas this had single flowers growing on long stems coming out of the leaf stems, where the stem meets the leaf.

Wow - youre right, they look SO similar, even down to the curled leaf stems! I managed to find a picture of a philodendron flower, but it doesnt look a bit like the orange petal mine made.... keeping my fingers crossed someone else knows!!
