FUDGE FANCIES 1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. soda 2 2/3 c. flour 1 c. nuts, chopped Mix and chill. Roll into logs. Roll logs in nuts. Chill and slice. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost with chocolate frosting.

you can also put the onion in the freezer for about 1/2 hour prior to cutting and presto... no tears this way either.
