Terry Cloth and an Iron for Wax
The cloth has to be WHITE, and also wet. You may end up burning, or staining the fiber if you dont use those two things.
Wax on Trousers?
Chances are the wax actually burnt the fiber of the pants. If it was a delicate then Id almost bet on it. You can try bringing them to the dry cleaners but if the fiber is ruined there isnt anything you can do. Good luck

Ive heard floor stripper works, but test it in a small area first to make sure no further damage occurs.
