My wonderfully, creative daughter came up with this idea one year "Money for a Rainy Day". Choose 10-20 bills (use whatever denomination you want), and tape a string on each (use various string lengths).

I came across a couple of tank tops that I know I would never wear again, and considered giving them to the Goodwill or Salvation Army but I paused thinking, "Hmm, turn it inside out and sew up the bottom of it!"

Sample Laundry Detergent Stain TreatmentI received a small sample bottle of laundry detergent. I had a stain on a shirt so I put a little detergent directly on the spot and laundered as usual. The stain came out and I have been refilling the little bottle ever since.

Keep a Phone Book in the CarI put my old or extra telephone books in my car. It's always handy for phone numbers, addresses, most have maps and even coupons. If I have room I put one in my suit case when traveling.

Alcohol for Cleaning a Fiberglass TubThis is a tip on cleaning fiberglass tubs. I found that pouring alcohol (plain vodka or Japanese Saki works well) straight on stained areas of your fiberglass tub will make cleaning easier. The dirt and soap scums drips right off!

Be Accurate In Recipe AmountsA few dairy companies are now manufacturing butter wrapped in 2 ounce sticks instead of 4 ounce sticks so it would be a good idea to make sure any recipe you give out clearly states either the ounces, tablespoon or cup amounts instead of simply saying "a stick of butter".

Use Grocery Sacks for Wrapping PackagesSimply cut out the bottom and slit down the side of a grocery sack. Use to wrap packages you mail. Why waste money on buying packaging paper when this works just as well!
