Make Cake Pops From Leftover Cake

Make Cake Pops From Leftover CakeI got this great idea after my kid's birthday party when I noticed all the half-eaten cake left on all the kids' plates. I thought to myself, "What a waste!" So I came up with this tip, you can make cake pops from those leftovers! I know what you are thinking right now, I am a genius, right? Why have I never thought of this before? This way you can make some little cake pops and your kids will be so excited.

Marshmallow Fluff Frosting

Marshmallow Fluff FrostingThis is a nice fluffy frosting with just a hint of vanilla. It is like a cheater Italian merengue frosting.

An eagle's nest with chicks.

Eagle Cam WatchingI just want to share the website for this eagle cam. There are 3 eaglets, still in the fuzzy stage. It is thrilling to watch them grow and see how the mom and dad take such good care of them.

Save Money on Soap

Save Money on SoapWhen a cake of soap wears down to a small piece, don't throw it away. Lather up the new cake of soap and the small piece of soap and while they are wet, press the two together. Set aside to dry overnight. The small piece will adhere to the large piece and it does not get wasted. After a few uses, your piggyback soap is barely noticeable.

The finished concrete soap holder.

Concrete Soap HolderIf you need a soap holder, make one yourself. Cement and pebbles are great for this. You will spend quite a bit of money and get an original soap holder. Of course, you can just stick the pebbles into the cement, but then the tops of the pebbles are unlikely to be on the same level. I came up with the idea of first laying pebbles in a mold, and then pouring cement.

What Type of Elastic for Sewing Fitted Sheets?I'm replacing the elastic on my fitted sheet. I know I need 1/4inch and I know the length. But I'm finding elasticity descriptions that say "highly elastic" or "heavy stretch." Any guidance on what's best? My main goal here is NOT having the sheet come loose at night, even if it means a little more effort when I make the bed. Thanks for the help!
