Lantern Flower ArrangementFlowers can be used in so many ways. This is a "lantern leftover" from my son's spring wedding. I decorated it with florals, greenery, and a candle. This will be used as a centerpiece on a buffet we are refinishing.
Homemade Hot PocketsI got a package of crescent rounds for free, and I also had leftover meatloaf, green beans, onions and sauce. I was very pleased with how these came out. The combinations are endless. This recipe will also work with crescent rolls.
Use Junk Mail For Scratch PaperWe receive a lot of junk mail. Instead of putting it in the trash, I go through it and tear off anything that would identify us and save the blank parts for scratch paper. The remainder goes in the paper recycling container.

E Z Rose Maker?Can anyone tell me the length of the dowel in the center of the EZ Rose and Flower Maker? I bought one at a yard sale and that part is missing. I was just going to use a wooden dowel but I want it to be the right size. Also how far down does the slit in the dowel go?
Giving Away Gift Ribbons?I was recently at a baby shower and the mom-to-be received close to 60 gifts. Saw so many beautiful ribbons and bows in pristine condition discarded. What charity might be able to use NON-Christmas ribbon if someone knows.
