I'm doing a college football team theme Christmas tree for an auction! Does anyone have some ideas for me?

If you go to the craft store they sell clear glass ornaments, take acrylic paint in the two school colors and remove the top, pour a pea-sized drop of first color on inside rim in three equally spaced places, then take second color and pour a slightly larger (not much larger) drops in between first color let drip down to within a half inch of bottom then place back in container they came in on their side and move around occasionally until completely covered with paint, then place upside down over a paper cup to remove excess paint, just don't move while draining and don't let too much paint come out. you could get stickers with the school logo and apply to a few ornaments on the outside and get either satin or velvet ribbon in matching colors and make small bows and attach with an ornament hook.

Cut football shapes from balsa wood, paint either brown or in school colors. drill small hole in one side for hook. Also cut helmet shapes, paint in school colors with logo, drill small hole for hook.

Cut t-shirt or jersey shapes from balsa or cardboard, paint solid one school color and put numbers on with another color. Football is an easy theme to decorate with, especially if you are a fan and watch games, you can get all sorts of ideas. Have fun.

Hello again. Just had another thought. How about using lights in school colors. In my case it would be red and white, easy enough. Just take every other white light out on a string of white or clear bulbs, replace it with a red one and woila. You could even do it with other colors, and even with 3 colors (but would avoid black! those bulbs may be hard to find).
