Malt and Shake RecipesDoes anyone have a secret recipe for a delicious Malt or Shake. I have tried different ways to make them but just don't taste the same as Ice Cream Shops.

 

Roasted Yellow Pepper SoupHalve peppers; remove and discard tops and seeds. Broil peppers 4 inches from the heat until skins blister, about 4 minutes. Immediately place peppers in a bowl; cover and let stand for 15-20 minutes.

 

Frosty Chocolate MousseCombine all ingredients in mixing bowl and mix until mixture mounds softly. Spoon into dessert cups and place in freezer for 2 hours.

 

Spaghetti Squash With Red SauceCut squash in half lengthwise; discard the seeds. Place the squash, cut side down, on a microwave safe plate. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 14-16 minutes or until tender.

 

Peanut Butter Crumb CakeCream sugar and shortening; add peanut butter and mix well. Sift flour and salt together and add to first mixture; then mix until crumbly. Reserve 2/3 cup of this mixture for topping.

 

Flaming Hot PopcornCut habanero pepper in half (I hold it by the stem not to get it on my hand). In a small saucepan, slowly warm oil and habanero pepper for about 3 minutes.

 

Toffee-Pecan BarsPreheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, combine flour or sugar. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; press onto bottom of lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

 

Cherry Tomato Mozzarella Saute'In a large skillet, saute the shallots, garlic, and thyme in oil until tender. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper; heat through. Remove from the heat; stir in cheese.

 

Apple-Brie Spinach SaladPlace apples on an ungreased baking sheet; brush with 2 tablespoons syrup. Broil 3-4 inches from heat for 3 minutes. Turn; brush with remaining syrup. Broil 3-5 minutes longer or until crisp-tender.

Cheap Cat CollarsCat collars, on the cheap! Use plain elastic! Tie it. The beauty of a piece of elastic is that it won't choke a cat and works as an expandable "breakway" collar.

 

Grandson and his Easter BasketThis is a picture of my 11-month-old grandson with the Easter Basket that I made for him this year. I actually wove the basket myself! (Not too bad for a first-timer).

 

Coffee Mug JamsI have a couple of friends that would like jelly but in a small amount, I started doing this years ago. Whenever I make jelly or jam, I always put approximately 3/4 cup in one of those coffee mugs I would really like to get rid of.

Cleaning An Electric Grill Without Removable PlatesDo you have an indoor grill WITHOUT a removable grate? To clean, take about 5 or 6 paper towels and wet them well and set them in your grate and plug it in. Let it steam for a few minutes, unplug, then using a spaghetti lifter (the kind with claws on it) rub your paper with it and it will get in all the nooks and crannies.

Borax For Poison Ivy?I've heard that poison ivy hates boron-rich soil, and that an easy way to kill it off and prevent it from re-growing is to add borax to the soil. Has anyone else heard of this? And do you know if it would hurt other plants as well? I have three 100+ year old maples that I really don't want to kill. I have tons of poison ivy, and this seemed like a relatively cheap and safe way to get rid of it. Any ideas?

How To Quiet A Squeaky Sleeper Sofa?I have a full sleeper sofa that is 18 months old. It squeaks every time you sit on it. I also have a queen sleeper in the set that doesn't make any noise. I had to have the full sleeper replaced once because it was defective.
