Monarch Butterfly
Monarch ButterflyI have been very lucky when it comes to getting close enough to the creatures that I spy in my backyard. I love watching the butterfly's so much. They all seem to have their own personalities too! This particular one was quite playful and didn't mind being photographed.

Scenery: My Grandparents' HouseI have two photos, both of the same home. One was taken many years ago, and the second one, much more recent. They are of my Grandparents home in Canon City, CO where they lived during a part of their life, as they raised their 6 children.

Garden: Weird ZucchiniWeird zucchini from the great beyond! I have found strange vegetables in my garden before: heart shaped tomatoes and potatoes, tomatoes that look like they have a nose, carrots that look like they have 2 legs and cucumbers that look more like bowling pins.

Bathroom BoxThis is a plastic canvas project. It is derived from a pattern for a tissue box cover, and can be adjusted to go with any tissue box cover pattern you want to use. These are the changes I am making to the pattern.

Craft: Plastic Milk Jug SnoopyThis snoopy is made from two plastic milk containers. I used black felt for the floppy ears, nose (the cap is left on one of the milk jugs), eyes, and buttons on the body. I cut a hole in the side of one of the milk containers for the head to fit over the body.

Garden: ScarecrowWe need to keep birds away from crops on our allotment, so I created Carolina (as she leans a bit!) and she is doing the job well. In her sleeves I've put empty plastic bottles so that the wind moves them easily. Her upright support is an old rotary washing pole.
