Garden: Peruvian DaffodilThis flower is a bulb that I planted this spring. I was very excited to see how beautiful that it was when it bloomed. It's very different than anything that I have ever planted before, but I'm so glad that I planted it!

Wildlife: Snapping TurtleMy husband was showing our 2 year old son what a "mean" turtle will do. He got it to snap at his boot a couple of times. I jumped every time it snapped, so this is the best picture I got. It's now our screen saver.

Garden: Shade Canopy With PlantsI use an old canopy to gather my potted plants and cuttings. I decorate the shade with decorative stepping stones and assorted garden-themed hangings. It makes me feel so relaxed just by looking at them and want to add more to my collection.

Giraffe (Virginia Safari Zoo)We were visiting the Virginia Safari Zoo in Natural Bridge Virginia. This is an amazing place to visit because you get so close up to the animals.

Scenery: Horseback Riding (Rouge Park,...I went out to Rouge Park the day after Memorial Day. As I was driving down Joy Road, I discovered that there was a riding stable run by the Buffalo Soldiers Club. They allow horseback riding on Saturday and Sunday for a small fee.

Old Log Planter
Old Log PlanterWe were recently given this old wash log and set it up on two old broken chairs then planted marigolds and sweet potato vines and hung the ferns on the fence. Goes to show that you can make something beautiful out of a little of nothing.

Garden: Angel StatueMy guardian angel sits between my red twig dogwood bushes. She sits just off my main patio where we can enjoy her as we dine, either in our kitchen or on our patio. I love looking out my kitchen window to see her quietly contemplating about the gardens. Enjoy!

Garden: Healing FlowersThis is a picture of my healing flowers. I can totally relax and go to a different place when I am working with my flowers. Going to a different place is important when you have a health issue that provides unwanted pain on a daily basis.
