I took this shot at 6:30 in the morning as the sun was just getting up. The trees, mist, water and sunlight just gives a magic look.

Garden: Rock WaterfallMy husband built this waterfall two years ago and it was just featured in our local newspaper today! We live on a hillside in an area called Mountainview so the waterfall looks very natural. Cars stop often to look at it.

Styrofoam Stars
Styrofoam StarsMake Styrofoam plates into cute hanging stars after rinsing and letting dry (or brushing off crumbs). I used a stencil of a star for my patterns and cut these out using craft scissors. They are strung on regular sewing thread with a few beads at the top.

Dirt Trail (MN)This is a long dirt trail headed under a railroad bridge. Trail is between Duluth and Proctor. Perfect time of day for this shot. I'm glad the way this one turned out. This is why I take my camera every time I leave the house!

Funny: Protecting The Oil SupplyThis is a bucket of oil for a firepit and the cat just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I just heard about the oil spill that morning and it looks as if he is protecting that oil from a spill.

Garden: BaptisiaBaptisia, or False Indigo, contributes beautiful spring color. It is a shrubby perennial that needs to be cut back in fall or early spring. The seed pods turn solid black and rattle in the south wind. It is so very blue - I wish it could bloom all summer!

Garden: English DaisiesThis is the first year I have discovered the English Daisies. They are so small, dainty and petite, just adorable. They did take me a while to learn how to care for them. They are so cute and also come in pinks and reds. I love these little flowers!

Sparrow for TeaOne day, a sparrow stopped by to see if my garden restaurant would be serving up any bug and meal worm tea. I like to set up scenarios in my garden and then wait to see if I can capture a photo of any curious birds that happen by! These are a couple of my favorites!

Garden: First Peas Of The SeasonThis is our first little batch of pink-eye-purple-hull (southern) peas of the season. They are supposed to be a brilliant dark purple color, but I couldn't resist picking these just a little before they changed color.

Building Thunderstorm (Benson, MN)I am a NWS trained skywarn/storm chaser in Minnesota. There were no warnings out so I went out to the grill and then yelled for my husband to bring the camera. This had passed us, so I had photos of the back side of the storm heading for Minneapolis area.

Scenery: Burgh Historical Park (Southfield, MI)I try to go to Burgh Historical Park at least once a week to look at the flowers. Each week, something is starting to bloom. The park is located in Southfield, MI and it is the perfect place for a wedding or for just relaxing.

Scenery: NE ScotlandWe are so lucky to live within walking distance of our beach. The town can be seen in the distance and off to the right there is a small river flows out to sea; the dunes and golf course are adjacent and provide such varied walks.
