I walked on the seven mile bridge and waited for the sunset. It was well worth the wait. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing those brilliant orange rays coming from behind the clouds.

Scenery: Roses Starting to BloomIt's so pretty when the roses start to bloom. We planted this rose bush last year, and it's blooming wonderfully. Lots of buds on it yet. I love all the flowers blooming now.

Wildlife: Fourth Generation Raccoons (Rancho Palos...These are the wild raccoons that frequent our yard. This is the fourth generation of raccoons. They enjoy dipping in to our dog's food. It has been a real treat watching them grow up, and grow old.

Scenery: Point Vicente Lighthouse (Rancho Palos...A well known fact about the Point Vicente Lighthouse is that it is supposedly haunted. When we were young, my friends and I surely saw the lady ghost dressed in a gown.

Wildlife: Mallards On A Muskrat Motel (Nebraska)These two Mallard drakes must have decided this muskrat house looked like a soft place to take a nap. Along our highways here in Nebraska, there are many wildlife habitat sanctuaries. This one is a popular place for ducks.

"Wild" Rose BushWhen I bought my house 25 years ago there was a small "wild" rose bush in the garden up against the house. Each year I would cut it back, and it would bloom a few roses. Each year it grows bigger.

Garden: Mock OrangeThis Mock Orange is right outside our front door. I just love this Mock Orange when it is blooming. It has over a hundred blooms on it, and smells so good. As you can see by the picture of my car, the bush is huge.

Garden: Secret FriendsIt was a beautiful sunny, spring day and our 4 year old granddaughter was visiting us, when she saw butterflies outside in our garden. I said, "Did you know that fairies and butterflies are secret friends?"
