This is probably the most beautiful photo of a flower that has ever bloomed in my presence. The colours are extremely vivid and beautiful. I love this photograph so much that I've even made this my wallpaper!

LunariaThere is an old abandoned cemetery very near my home. For most of the year it is a mass of thickets to insure undisturbed slumber for those resting there. In late spring the tiny graveyard is very alive with brilliant color. From any angle, the eye is almost overwhelmed with lunaria en masse.

Gold Finches
Gold FinchesI have had to stop feeding all the birds for now as the cow birds were taking over and coming in droves and hogging the feeders. They don't care for thistle nor do the other birds, but I love watching the gold finches and they are at the feeder most all day.

Grape Hyacinth on our "Junk Hill"
Grape Hyacinth on Our "Junk Hill"We used rubble from renovations and other junk to make our own mini landfill site in a corner of our garden. We covered it in topsoil and made a stepped path to the top with a seat made from a dismantled concrete fence. I planted bulbs including grape hyacinth up the sides of the path.

The Old Fashioned IrisMany of you will be familiar with this flower. In the last century it adorned many flower beds and front lawns. If it has a registered name, I don't know what it is. Most home growers knew the flower by it's very common name, 'Flags'.

Yellow Rose (Lady Or Playboy)I really dislike it when I don't know the names of my own flowers. This fiery little creature had two names on its tag, Lady Elsie May and Playboy. What I have could be either one, as they look very similar. That's OK. Not knowing it's real name won't cause me to enjoy it any less.

Wild Sweet Pea flowers
Wild Sweet PeasWhile driving to work one day years ago, I noticed these beautiful flowers were growing on the side of the road. I watched for them go to seed so I could stop and "borrow" a few. I planted them in a sunny spot and eventually they grew and bloomed beautifully! I can't wait to see them again this summer!

Rosa RugosaThis is a very beautiful bright and cheerful rose bush. It is also very dense and prickly and is therefore an ideal bush for a hedge that can help deter intruders.

Sunshine Yellow RoseThis yellow rose is something I look forward to when visiting my mother-in-law's at the lake. It always reminds me of sunshine and most of all to be grateful for the little things the Lord has provided to all of us!
