My name is Donna. I still consider myself a single mom even though my daughter passed away two years ago. I became disabled in 2003 and my disability check just doesn't go very far so I am constantly looking for ways to save money and keep my expenses down.
I love all types of gardening especially vegetables. Each year I plant something I've never grown before. This year it's broccoli and cauliflower. When my vegetables are ready to harvest I will either can them, freeze them or dehydrate them. I grew up helping my Grandma and Aunt can every summer.
Besides gardening and preserving, I enjoy cooking. I love to find a recipe and then modify it to make it my own. I also enjoy creating my own recipes. However, since I never seem to measure or write down the ingredients I use, I rarely can make it twice. I also love to craft. I like making cards, glass block light, potpourri light and crafting in general.
