I was also going to suggest some sort of odor-spray, like Febreze, and put it in the sun. Mine had similar garage smells from being stored also and I just put it up in the yard for the day and the sun did the job.

We do this also, but with one addition. We pay 50 cents per can, and the profits are saved and used to cater lunch for the office once or twice a year - generally a holiday lunch. Sometimes its just a nice main dish and we have a potluck.
