Use and Care of Cast Iron Skillets
My granny always used iron skillets :) do the seasoning thing (oil and bake) and she swore by never using steel wool (Brillo pads), or even soap on them. They had to be washed right after they were used.
Removing Oil and Odors from Work Clothing
If you can pretreat the oil, get a jar of GoJo hand cleaner to pretreat. Add some lestoil to your wash with Tide etc. and add about a cup of Lemon Scented Ammonia to the rinse.

Try using lemon scented ammonia in the rinse about a cup should do it.

Removing Blood from Fabric
Run cold water over it then pour some Hydrogen Peroxide on it I rinse and repeat a few times and then wash it in the washer with detergent and cold water. Hydrogen Peroxide will take out just about any protein based stain.

Try putting a dish of kitty litter inside and closing it. If you can alternate leaving it open and in the sun it would help too.
