framed pressed flowers

Find Craft Supplies at Garage SalesGarage sales are great. There is such an endless variety, and you never know what you will find. The goldmine is the joy you feel when you see a table full of fabric, a box filled with skeins of yarn, dozens of frames and pictures, and all priced from 10 cents to a dollar.

Cardboard box with cat decoration.

Storage Box For Pressed FlowersI found this to be a great place to store and organize all my pressed flowers. When I was doing a project I would just pull the whole drawer out, place it on the table and it's all right at my fingertips. On smaller projects I'd just pull the drawers out partially.

The finished luggage tag.

Fabric Luggage TagWhile on vacation in Hawaii I was lucky to discover a native woman who made different craft items. The luggage tag was among her beautiful items. I bought a few and thought they were so cute that I had to make some.

A recycled fence made from freezer floor grates.

From Freezer's Floor to Garden's DoorSomeone's trash is another woman's treasure! I found these freezer floor grates at a local salvage yard for $5.00. They were just the right height (about 2 feet) for keeping the bunnies from their breakfast! (My vines!)

April (Siberian Husky)

April (Siberian Husky)April is a 4 year old Siberian Husky. My son bought her on Father's Day for my husband. We all fell in love at first sight! She loves taking walks, playing fetch with her ball and rubber bone, and absolutely loves blizzards and diving in the snow.

Hydragea flower.

Propagating HydrangeasIf you love hydrangeas, as I do, now is the time to propagate them. If you don't have one, maybe a neighbor would let you take a few cuttings. It won't harm the existing plant, so don't be shy in asking. In about 6 weeks you'll be able to plant the cuttings in their permanent site.
