What Is This Garden Plant?
It looks like Pokeweed. It is a native plant that pops up quite often. People used to eat the young leaves, but they would have to boil it, change the water and boil it again since it is toxic. Allens Vegetables sold it in cans.

That is a pawlonia tree or Royal Empress tree. I see them a lot. You shouldnt have any problem finding out about them on Google.

It may be Ivy Leaved Speedwell. It has fuzzy seed pods attached to the vines and leaves. I have heard that it is best to pull it. I have it and am going to try a broad leaf herbicide.

Sealing Glitter?
You could use several light coats of clear acrylic spray. Such as Krylon, Valspar, or Rustoleum. Just make sure that is the gloss and not the frosted. It may reduce some of the sparkle effect though.
