Fudge

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup chopped black walnuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Mix all ingredients except nuts into a large saucepan. Cook to soft ball stage (about 236 degrees F). Remove from heat and let set to chill without stirring until cool so that it feels barely warm. Beat until it starts to thicken; add nuts. When it starts to lose it's gloss, pour immediately into an 8x8 inch square pan. Cut into squares just before it hardens.
