Using White Lunch Bags to Wrap GiftsWhen wrapping Christmas gifts there are always those smaller items that you don't have a box the right size for. Last year I used White Lunch Sacks. You can get these at most dollar stores and they work great to wrap a bunch of stuff.

Give Consumables To Older Friends or RelativesIf you are wondering what to give older friends/relatives for the holidays, here is an idea: Consumable gifts are always welcome since seniors do not want to get things that will end up collecting dust or ending up in a yard sale!

Guess What You Are Buying Me For Christmas? This is only a tip if you consider getting something you'd like for Christmas, but someone else buys it. My youngest son is now 37. When he was about 10, I took the kids to do 'their' shopping for the family. Each one was allowed $5 per person.

Chinese Happiness Ornament

Chinese "Double Happiness" OrnamentThis is a modern version of the Chinese "Double Happiness" icon. It is considered good luck to display it in your home. It makes a nice Christmas ornament when cross stitched with black thread onto red 11 gauge material.

Sparkle ball variant.

Sparkle SnowmanMy husband made this snowman for his holiday potluck at work. Everyone loved it. It was much harder than a regular sparkleball, but still doable. We just used an old hat and scarf that we had around the house but you could really decorate it up if you wanted to.

Christmas Tree as a tomato cage

Cute Tomato Cage Christmas TreesThought you were through with your tomato cages for the year? Think again! They can be turned into very cute Christmas trees for your yard or your home.

Decorated baby food jar votive candle holder.

Baby Food Jar VotiveTake an empty jar (I used the 4 oz.), wash well and remove label. It doesn't matter if all the glue is off as long as all the paper is gone.

Several lace poinsettias.

Lace PoinsettiasCut a piece of lace 12 inches long, fold 1/4 inch and sew a seam then slip a pipe cleaner 5 inches long. If you bend the tip of it, it will slip so much better. Twist them closed and then glue a poinsettia in the center.

Stocking Your Gift ClosetA Gift Closet or box can be a treasure trove all year long but especially at Christmas. I buy for Christmas all year long at yard sales and craft fairs and the thrifty store. I also love the dollar store. At these places, you can always find something to buy for someone on your list.
